🔢 How to Calculate a Tip — Quick Formula
Tip = Bill × (Tip% ÷ 100)
Example: $65 bill at 20% tip = $65 × 0.20 = $13.00 tip → $78.00 total.
Mental math trick: Move the decimal one place left for 10%, then double it for 20%. $65 → $6.50 → $13.00.
