These terms govern your use of calculator-pro.org. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
1. What Calculator Pro provides
Calculator Pro provides free online calculators and unit converters for general informational use. The tools are provided as they are, without any commitment that a particular calculator will remain available, unchanged, or uninterrupted.
2. The results are not professional advice
Specifically:
- Financial tools — mortgage, loan, tax, retirement and investment calculators produce estimates. Actual figures depend on your lender's terms, fees, credit assessment and current legislation. Confirm with a licensed adviser or the institution before making a commitment.
- Health and fitness tools — BMI, BMR, calorie, body-fat, pregnancy and similar calculators are based on population averages and are not diagnostic. They are not a substitute for advice from a doctor or other qualified health professional, and should not be used to diagnose, treat or make decisions about a medical condition.
- Construction and engineering tools — concrete, roofing, flooring and similar calculators give approximate quantities. They do not account for local building codes, site conditions or waste factors. Verify with a qualified professional before ordering materials or beginning work.
3. No warranty as to accuracy
Considerable care goes into implementing each formula correctly, and the main formulas are published on our about page so they can be checked. Even so, the site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. Results may contain errors, may be affected by rounding, and may become outdated when rates or rules change.
If you believe a calculator is returning an incorrect result, please tell us through the contact form.
4. Accounts
Accounts are optional and are used only to save a favourites list. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Do not use a password you use elsewhere. We may suspend or remove an account that is used to abuse the site.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use automated systems to scrape, harvest or bulk-request pages in a way that places an unreasonable load on the site
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its accounts or its infrastructure
- Interfere with the site's normal operation, or with other people's use of it
- Reproduce substantial parts of the site's content as your own
6. Intellectual property
The site's text, layout, design and code are owned by Calculator Pro and protected by copyright. Mathematical formulas themselves are not owned by anyone, and you are free to use any result you generate. You may quote short extracts with a link back to the page they came from. Trademarks and product names mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe what a calculator does.
7. Advertising and third-party links
The site is funded by advertising. Advertisements and links to other websites are not endorsements, and we are not responsible for the content, products, or privacy practices of any third-party site. Advertising has no influence on any calculator's formula or result.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Calculator Pro is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or reliance on any result it produces. This includes financial loss from acting on an estimate and any consequence of a health or construction decision made using these tools.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Calculator Pro against any claim arising from your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms.
10. Changes
These terms may be updated. Changes are published on this page with a new "last updated" date, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute.
